C.H. Stuart Charlson, J.D.

Senior Associate

After graduating from University of Wisconsin and completing law school in 1992, at Marquette University, cum laude, Stuart joined the legal staff of the United States Department of Labor – Office of the Solicitor (Chicago office), where he prosecuted employers for wage/hour, OSHA and other federal law violations.  In 1995, he was hired as an Associate Attorney at a Wisconsin based, management-side labor and employment law firm, Krukowski & Costello, S.C.

Between 1995 and 1997, he actively represented large and small employers in litigation, and counseled organizations on all compliance related matters, including audits, discrimination charges, employee discipline, recordkeeping, handling layoffs, misconduct investigations and drafting agreements.  Working with both not-for-profit and profit-oriented companies, Stuart provided effective guidance and strategy to his clients on complex workplace issues.

In 1997, Stuart relocated to Tampa, Florida to join a management-consulting firm.  He successfully served as Vice President of this organization until 2004, when he left to create a new human resource outsourcing ("HRO") firm focused on the small to mid sized company marketplace.  In these roles, he provided consulting and training to many Florida companies.  His clients seek out his assistance on critical HR compliance issues and effective management techniques.

Stuart serves as a First Lieutenant in the 174th Legal Support Organization, 81st Regional Readiness Command (RRC) in U.S. Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General.  He serves as a Legal Assistance Officer (including wills, power of attorneys, legal assistance, briefings, etc..) to Army Reserve units in the Tampa Bay area.
